Build Up Marietta is a building improvement program where downtown business and property owners can apply for matching funds of up to $5000 or 50% of a project. This program is administered by Marietta Main Street in alignment with our mission to promote, preserve, and enhance downtown Marietta according to the Main Street Approach.

The vision of Build Up Marietta is a vibrant, revitalized, visually-appealing downtown with historic structures that have been preserved and adapted to modern-day usage. This program is intended to pair financial resources with local mentors on the restoration of historic properties, facade improvement, interior improvement, business enhancement, and design for awardees of Build Up Marietta funding.

The 2024 Spring Spruce Up Flash Grant

This grant cycle will allow downtown building and business owners to apply for matching funds of up to $5,000, or 50% of a project for:

Interior improvements, such as lighting fixtures, plumbing/HVAC, flooring, painting/drywall, permanent fixtures, mechanical/electrical, accessibility compliance, and support mechanisms
Exterior improvements, such as painting, brick maintenance, new or replacement awnings, lighting, new or replacement signage, & door/window repair, or outdoor dining/seating

Timeline for the 2024 Spring Spruce Up Flash Grant:

All applications must be submitted in full no later than Monday, March 18, 2024
Awardees will be announced by Friday, March 22, 2024
All projects must be completed and final reimbursement materials submitted by Friday, September 27, 2024
